Cool... another music FREAK... (hhmmmm de ja vu) Anyway I can't really say I have a favourite kind of music. It would be easier to say the only music I don't like is rap. Why? Well for one thing I don't find a terribly huge variation in rap, constant illiteration and rhyming bores me some what. The lyrics are pretty mindless and don't give me any sort of atmosphere except for visions of the Hommes in the ghettos... I like to use music to escape from reality and rap just doesn't do that for me... I'
m not saying the only reason I lissen to music is to escape, but that is a big part of it. Among my most recent favourites would have to be Frontline Assembly (yah yah Rob, I know), a techno/Industrial/Sci-fi inspired Canadian group, and a four CD set of Gregorian chants, the Police greatest hits, Dr. John, the soundtrack to 1492 by Vangellis, Joe Satriani, MANOWAR and whole buncha others... I find music in generally to be a pretty broad topic so maybe narrow it down for me a little... I try making my
own music using a program called MED on my Amiga and an 8-bit sampler. The results may not be CD quality but for the price the sound can be quite exceptional. In fact there is a n English dance duo who make all their tracks using two standard amigas with 8 bit samplers. They were even on the European top forty. Their called Urban Shakedown and their most successfull track was "Some Justice" or something... maybe you've headr of them?
