- MIKE,
- Hello, I am just writing to reply to your questions asked
- about animals being used for testing.
-
- 1. Should animals be used for testing drugs, chemicals, ect.?
- I feel that it depends on what animals and what kinds of tests
- are being done. For example, I think that using mice and
- rats is fine. When they start using bigger animals such as
- dogs, cats, monkeys, ect., I feel it is cruel. Dogs and other
- animals may be nothing to some people, but to others they
- are a companion and friend.
-
- 2. Should rabbits be used to test lotion, shampoo, and conditioner?
- I don't feel they should. They should find other animals
- for example mice to do this testing. Rabbits are cute and
- friendly animals and are no bother to us. Why should we bother
- them?
-
- 3. Is the testing necessary? Why?
- When it comes down to it, humans are more important than animals.
- If they are testing a drug for a cure of a disease, then I
- feel it is necessary, but only on certain animals.
-
- 4. How far should we go with testing?
- I feel that we should only test as far as we can without making
- the animal suffer.
