  22. Apple and Novell are not merging.  That was pure silly rumor, and the
  23. USL deal proves it: Novell's priorities are elsewhere entirely.  They
  24. are taking a breath and taking on Microsoft by themselves.  A more
  25. likely next move for them would be a merger with Borland.
