  22. Oh yes, I do realize the implications of changing the functionality of
  23. button 2, but for the application we sell, we had to decide, who's to be
  24. king-our many years old style that our customers are used to, or the new
  25. Motif style guide.
  26. Anyway, our application is more in the VAR realm, so customers buy
  27. machines just to run our package. In that case, it is much better to
  28. allow a non-standard style to be used (since interaction with other
  29. applications is nil), than to have two conflicting standards imposed on
  30. users.

  32. This is just to take care of current/previous customers.
  33. For new customers, we do intend to follow the Motif style guide (and learn
  34. to co-exist with other applications---which brings up the issue of
  35. colormaps---but that is another story!)
