  16.     Im currently trying to brain-damage a XmText Widget.  Ok, 
  17. here is what i want it to do...

  19. Imagine a password requester.  All I want to happen is when I type
  20. into the text field, instead of putting the characters there, I want
  21. asterixes ("****" to appear.  Has anyone done this?  I have tried a 
  22. few way, but it looks like it may have to be a major hack.  Things
  23. I have tried:

  25. Everytime a key is pressed (XmNmodifyValueCallback) i call the action-procedure
  26. "delete-previous-character", to delete the character and then I 
  27. do a XmTextInsert to insert the *.  This core dumps seriously.
  28. I don't know why, so if anyone has any ideas, PLEASE let me know...
