  10. I have a question/problem regarding a label widget.  I am doing a
  11. very time consuming task and while I task is in progress, I want
  12. to change a string to represent a status message.  However, the
  13. message will not be updated until the program gets back to the
  14. main loop (or I process events).  I am stuck here - when I change
  15. the text, the label will blank but not update - why not.  Was the
  16. author trying to save a call  and wait for a refresh event?  I 
  17. would like to hear about any experiences you might have/or ideas
  18. on this subject.  Please E-Mail your responses.
