  17. My office has compiled the TWM from the standard X distribution
  18. and has been running it on 386 & 486 PC's.  One thing we've noticed
  19. is that, for an app which brings up multiple windows, if you click
  20. in the TWM title bar before the title is actually drawn there, any
  21. subsequent windows for that app will come up with zero size.  They're
  22. still there, but you must resize them manually, assuming you can
  23. find them at all.

  25. Since impatient people with mice tend to click the mouse when they
  26. don't know what else to do, this problem occurs much more frequently
  27. on the slower machines.  We've only been able to duplicate this
  28. once on a workstation, and it took quite a few tries on a bogged down
  29. machine before we finally did it.

  31. Has anyone else encountered this problem?  More importantly, does
  32. anyone out there know how to fix this?  Just saying "Don't click in
  33. the title bar" may work for programmers, but it's an inacceptable
  34. solution for our computer-illiterate customers.  ANY input would be
  35. appreciated.  Please mail responses to bvh@cse.unl.edu, as I don't
  36. read these groups very often.
