- I've run across a similar problem using TeX on Apollo workstations, using the
- dvihp program supplied by the vendor (ArborText). The letter 'i' is omitted,
- only the lowercase, but bold or italic 'i' gets printed. I've also had trouble
- printing bitmaps in general on Series II LaserJets, even those with about 2 Mb
- of RAM. I can reproduce this bad behavior on several different Series II
- machines, especially the missing 'i' from a downloaded font. I can show the
- problem to be independent of the print server by using "cat"; other than that,
- I'm stumped, too. Could it be some sort of tragic flaw in PCL, or perhaps the
- ROMs in HP Series II LaserJets?
