- For example, if one desired to produce a word processor for
- commercial release on SVR4 Intel Unix, the product could be
- compiled and linked on the existing Dell product and the
- binaries transferred to the other OS's. This would make a
- very convenient "least common denominator" building platform.
- My guess is the other direction would not work, building
- on the newer 4.2/386 OS's and riding the ABI back to 4.0.X.
