  24. So you don't buy a Zenith supply - you buy a replacement.  I
  25. recently had a client get quoted $450  for a an AT&T 6386
  26. machine PS.       Made by Alitec in Italy.

  28. So I found a company that makes replacements.  Not identical -
  29. the replacement has 50W more power and comes with a 2 year
  30. guarantee, all at $135.

  32. Those who made propietary power-supplies put other
  33. manufacturers in business.   A company called Power Plus
  34. Systems - in Salt Lake city makes them.

  36. They have replacement 'compatible' power supplies for such
  37. propietary names, as Compaq, AST, Zenith, IBM, NCR, Apple.

  39. The moral, if there is one, is not to price yourself out of the
  40. replacement market if you want to sell future machines.  Most
  41. people don't seem to know about secondary sourcing.
