- Does anyone have significant experience with using 386BSD as the basis for
- a dedicated SLIP/PPP to Ethernet gateway? Is it reliable?
-
- The power where I live has been unstable as of late (ie. goes down several
- times a week) I have been contemplating setting up a dedicated 386 box
- as a gateway machine with an internal battery pack to isolate it from the
- electric company. That way I can leave the Sun's down when I'm not using
- them, and at the same time have a constantly accessible node for e-mail
- and automated ftp retrieval.
