- Hi.
-
- I am trying to build the "layers" program on an IBM RS/6000 running
- AIX 3.2.2.
-
- From the manpage ...
-
- MacLayers provides multi-window capability for a Macintosh
- (greater than 128K) connected to a host UNIX(TM) system with
- sockets support. Each window may be associated with a shell,
- login to a different host, or an individual command.
- Complete facilities are available for controlling the window
- and the associated host processes attached thereto.
-
- To use MacLayers, you must have the MacLayers vt-100
- terminal emulation program on a Macintosh and the layers
- protocol program installed on your Unix host.
-
- I was able to compile the layers protocol program using bsdcc.
- Unfortunately, layers requires /etc/ttys, which doesn't exist on AIX.
- Does anybody know how to fix layers so it works under IAX? Failing
- that, any general pointers on where to go next?
-
- Thanks.
