  30. For the IBM RS/6000 model 350 the ethernet controller is built into the planner
  31. board.  There is a riser card that has the bnc and dix connector on it.  There is
  32. also another riser card that has the twisted pair jack on it.  When you want to
  33. switch between bnc and dix you have to move a set of jumpers on the riser card.
  34. When the system is re-started AIX determines the jumper setting on this card
  35. and sets the ethernet configuration according to those jumpers.  That is the reason
  36. that you cannot change this setting thru smit.
  37. BYW, you will need to get PTF U410209, this has a new device driver for the
  38. integrated ethernet.
