  11. We have a DAT tape drive and a lot of different people
  12. need to use it.  Is there a good PD allocation program
  13. for this kind of device.  Ideally, we want them to 
  14. "mount" the device, and at that time, give a maximum
  15. time of usage, a general description of what they are
  16. doing...

  18. The program must change protections on the device in 
  19. order to insure against other from reading or writing
  20. to it while another user has it locked out.

  22. I can't believe someone else hasn't already written
  23. these programs/scripts.  Any suggestions are greatly
  24. appreciated.
