- Greetings!
-
- Over the past few years i've seen numerous 'network information sources' change
- for the better, e.g. Before 'archie' came along, numerous people around the net
- would collect and post regularly information as to which sites had what
- available for FTP'ing. And thanks to volunteers who in their spare time compile
- lists of information that they regularly post out, e.g. in the music news
- groups, lists of upcoming album releases. comp.mail.maps, lists of museums in
- the military newsgroups etc...
-
- Now what i would like to start putting together is a list of all the worlds
- computing sites! yes, yes, i know what a 'huge' number are out there... The
- idea is that people send me details of their site, and followup details when
- something changes so that i can keep updating the list, and i'll post the
- information out into this newsgroup and whoever wants to be on the mailing list
- and regular intervals.
-
- Here's the information and format i'm asking for:
-
- Company Name, Full Address, Contact Email address.
- n) Computer Manufacturer, Model, Benchmark?
-
- ...for a suggestion. I'd like to hear from people as to what they think of my
- idea, and if they like it, what info they would like to see. I was thinking of
- adding somekind of benchmark? so that i could total up sites and put them into
- somekind of order as to which is the most powerful.
