- Hello all,
-
- I have a small program which computes pi with 300 digits
- after decimap point, and it runs either 7.0 secs user time or
- 25.4 secs user time.
- Configuration:
- SS 1+, SunOS 4.1.2, OW 3.0, gcc 2.2.2 OR acc SC1.0 OR cc SC1.0,
- program is dynamically loaded, paging activity is 0,
- context switches and interrupts are as usual -
- perfmeter ranges are "intr 100" and "cntxt 64".
-
- The execution time switches from 7 to 25 secs after an invocation
- of "cc", and vice versa - after an invocation of some other programs
- or maybe after some period of inactivity (this is somewhat harder).
-
- What is the cause of such a behavior?
-
- Thanks,
