- It is asking you for the root password.
-
- How do i disable this? or how do i fix it?
-
- It is not broken. Your sysadm has changed the /etc/ttytab entry
- for the console from secure to unsecure. An unsecure console entry will
- not allow root to use the console. Therefore, boot -s will require a password.

- If you are the sysadm, and you have forgotten the root password:
- boot from cdrom, then mount your root partition and change the password
- entry file. WARNING, an employee here [who was not in the MIS department]
- tried this, he is no longer an employee here:-(

- Good luck,
