- Hi Netters,
-
- My previous question was not the right one to ask.
-
- We have four SPARC10's that we are going to set up as file servers.
- They come with one SCSI port, and we have added another via an SBUS
- card. We also have up to 9 devices per machine, i.e. CD/ROM, external
- disks, tape drives.
-
- How do we attach them all. I was told that Sun has an addressing scheme
- that allows up to 15 devices per SCSI port. Do we daisy chain them all
- off one port? Do we split them up between the two ports, i.e. 4 on one
- and 5 on the other? Does one of the SCSI ports take precedence over the
- other?
-
- please reply to my E-mail. Thanks
