- Hi,
-
- I'm looking for a utility that will allow me to connect to another process
- and see an echo of all its screen IO. In other words, I need to be able
- to see on my terminal, exactly what a user is seeing/doing on their
- terminal. I have a program for VMS called WATCH that does this, is there
- anything similar for UNIX? Preferably there is one that works with PTY's
- as well, and also allows my keyboard input to be sent to the attached process.
- One that could perhaps attach to *multiple* processes would be useful (in
- a classroom setting).
-
- Thanks,
- MARK
-
- PS: Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, I'm not looking for a way
- to play "big brother". We've found that on our VAXes, such a program
- helps us in diagnosing user errors, as well as a being a nahdy tool for
- teaching novice users how to use a new application.
