  21. I am reminded of a play I directed at a small theater a few years back.
  22. It was written by Tennessee Williams. Some upstanding citizen wrote to
  23. the board of directors after seeing it, wanting my hide on his wall for
  24. bringing such filth into the community. They wrote back:

  26. "If you don't know enough to stay away from a Williams play if you're
  27. likely to be offended by one, then please stay away from our theater
  28. in general."

  30. A similar statement might be made to people who read newsgroups with
  31. the word "marketplace" in their titles.
