- Because, as I said earlier, the upcoming Windows 3.1/NT product
- is a release that exists to establish an OS foundation for such
- work. Once you have the kind of functionality you get in NT or
- Mach 3.0, base services are pretty complete for a "traditional"
- operating system. Far be it for me to say that it is unfortunate
- that there isn't more "innovative" (rather than traditional)
- base OS work in the world...
