- I have several high-end Mac II-series cards and a monitor for sale:
-
- Approx. street price Asking
- Supermac Thunder/24 $2400 $1500
- Supermac Spectrum 24 PDQ $1600 $1000
- Radius Rocket $1600 $1000
- Supermac Spectrum II 19" trinitron monitor $1600 $1000
-
- The Thunder/24 is the highest-performance Mac graphics accelerator
- on the market, at least as of the last MacUser tests. It drives a
- variety of monitors form 640x480 to 1152x870 at pixel clock rates to 100 MHz,
- and supports a very large virtual desktop.
-
- The Spectrum 24 PDQ (NOT the Spectrum 8*24 PDQ, NOT the Spectrum 24,
- NOT the Spectrum 24 Series III -- I wish Supermac's names were a little
- more sensible) was the next-best-performing graphics card. This is also
- a full 24 bit color card with acceleration, virtual desktop, etc.
-
- The Radius Rocket is a 25 MHz 68040 accelerator card, with floating point,
- that is claimed to provide up to 3 times the speed of a IIfx (I can't verify
- from experience, but it's a hell of a lot faster than my original II).
- It can accept up to 8 simms, 120 ns or faster. I have 4M 80 ns simms
- available for $90 ea. with the card ($100 ea otherwise).
-
- The monitor is a one-generation-old Supermac 19" Trinitron monitor.
- It's fixed-frequency, 60 Hz, 1024 x 768 display, and can work
- with any of the graphics cards to give a nearly two-full-page display.
-
- All guaranteed working.
- Call or email if interested
