  16. There really shouldn't be any need to hurry. There's some law that
  17. requires Apple to support all models even after they've been 
  18. discontinued. Therefore, you SHOULD be able to buy one at any time
  19. in the future. I'm not sure exactly what the terms of this law 
  20. are, but I think Apple still supports the Portable and the old 
  21. Apple //'s.
