  12. A question to all of you who boot from the 7.1 Installer disk and get a flashing 
  13. box - are you using the original disk?

  15. An installer disk contains special information in its floppy boot blocks
  16. to run the installer program and not the (non-existent) Finder.
  17. This information is lost unless you do a disk-to-disk copy using DART,
  18. Diskcopy or similar. Dragging files between disks does not work.

  20. Moral - use a disk copier to copy System Installer disks (at least, Disk 1,
  21. the boot disk.)
