- A question to all of you who boot from the 7.1 Installer disk and get a flashing
- box - are you using the original disk?

- An installer disk contains special information in its floppy boot blocks
- to run the installer program and not the (non-existent) Finder.
- This information is lost unless you do a disk-to-disk copy using DART,
- Diskcopy or similar. Dragging files between disks does not work.

- Moral - use a disk copier to copy System Installer disks (at least, Disk 1,
- the boot disk.)
