  33. Todd,
  34. have you a VERY big hard disk, and not used the Shutdown menu to switch off 
  35. your Mac?
  36. If so, the mac inspects the complete hard disk for any errors/defects/
  37. leftovers from a recent system crash (which needs big times on big volumes).
