- When I go to the General Control Panel, all I get are black and white
- desktop patterns to choose from, even though I have a color monitor and
- everything else is in color. How do I get color patterns.
-
- Do you have a special background pattern now? Something from a program like
- WallPaper, Desktop Textures, or Before Dark? If so, you need to de-install
- those, and then you'll get your color patterns from the General Control
- Panel. In Desktop Textures, you can choose the "Control Panel Compatible"
- pattern (plain grey). There should be an equivalent in the others.
-
- Also, did you do a "Minimal installation for <your machine>" when installing
- the OS? If so, it's possible that the color pattern resources didn't
- install, although I would think that the first solution is more likely.
-
- Good luck!
