- I know this question has been posted before, but I never ran into the
- problem and ignored reading responses.

- I have a new Mac IIvx and I cannot change the name of the internal Hard Disk
- from MacintoshHD to something else. The machine is running system 7.1. I
- have turned off all extensions to be sure any file sharing is off. Here at
- work I also run 7.1 on an Mac IIsi and if sharing is on I cannot change the
- name od any shared items or items that contain shared items as I would
- expect. Turning off sharing frees up the ability to change names.
-
- What do I do to be able to customize my HD name on the vx?
