  13. I just upgraded my pb100 to 8 megs of ram, and I was hoping that 
  14. in that transformation, I could stop access to the hard drive
  15. for the most part by loading system and some applications on a ram
  16. disk.  the problem is that when word starts up, it accesses the hard
  17. drive, even when it has been unmounted by draging the icon of the drive
  18. to the trash. It isn't looking for a prefs file, because the active
  19. system is on the ramdisk. And it isn't just microsoft, because the
  20. same thing happend with BBEdit. Any Ideas, Suggestions, or Guesses would
  21. be appriciated.
