- Um ... before you write off a Cfront 3.0 stopgap, remember that

- a) the definition of exception handling has only just settled down, and
- will probably unsettle again as soon as there's an implementation to
- find problems with (and Cfront 3.0 does NOT have exceptions; that's
- for Cfront 4.0, so that's not a differentiating factor)

- b) The definition of templates is in the process of changing (i.e. the
- ANSI standards committee has started to discuss modifying the current
- definition in the working document, which is what's in 3.0 and any
- other existing implementations). Granted. Lucid has good
- representation on the committee (take a bow, Jerry), but there's sure
- to be some concern about the tradeoff between schedules and waiting
- for the consensus of the committee.
