- The only simple solution I know of is to use a set of fonts which includes
- sub and superscripted characters. Examples of this include the ANU math font
- and my BosMath font.
-
- The problem is this: When Apple put formatted text into Mac system software
- they left out any provision for subscripted and superscripted text. (This
- system is the new TextEdit with StyleRuns, found in Volume 5 of Inside Mac.)
- So, when formatted text was added to HyperCard, the simplest method was
- chosen - using the existing TextEdit structure. The upshot: No subscripts
- or superscripts, a real pain for those trying to use HyperCard for technical
- writing.
-
- Let me know if you need a copy of a sub/superscripted font.
