  23. I think the delay you are observing is machine dependent (i.e. CPU speed,
  24. etc) because on my Mac IIcx, the highlighting happens virtually
  25. instantaneously after releasing the mouse.  However on a Mac SE, it is
  26. noticeably slower (possibly 1 to 2 sec).
