- MacUser gave the Sony 1604S its top rating recently. The Apple 16" was
- included in the bunch they reviewed. It didn't get very good price/
- performance ratings. It's not a multisync monitor, and it costs too
- much. Color is excellent, but value isn't.

- The Sony 1604S will run from the ci's on-board video, but it will only
- display 640x480 pixels in 8 bit color.

- Your friend might want to look at the Radius PrecisionColor 24XP card
- to drive the Sony 1604S. It compared very favorably with more expensive
- 24-bit accelerated graphics cards, and it can be had mail-order for $499.
