- I have been reading people's posts about crystal upgrades in the IIsi and
- IIci. I know that the IIsi swap worked, but the IIci swap had problems.
- Has anybody tried this in a Classic II? Is it possible with the way
- the logic board was designed?
-
- Two: Is the Classic II FPU slot an FPU slot or a PDS slot? Why can't
- anybody (DAYSTAR DIGITAL HELP US PLEASE) put an accelerator/video card
- in there? The Classic II has Color Quickdraw in the ROMs, so it can drive
- a color screen. I quess I could get a SCSI screen, but..
-
- Lastly: Can someone with a good working knowledge of the Classic II logic
- board explain why it has a 16-bit RAM bus path (effectively making it an SX)?
- Is this flaw repairable with a swap of components or something? I do Mac
- repair and programming, but my schooling is in Software.. I have no idea
- how the logic board makes the computer run (other than what each chip does
- individually..). Please help me out! Thanks, Jim.
