- To Gene: Try it out! If I had a IIcx I would have tried it myself.
- Actually I have a IIci which I had running at 30 MHz simply by
- replacing an oscillator. The bottom line was, everything was fine
- and faster, but I was unable to access some of the serial devices
- (MacRecorder was ok, but Personal LW LS and Supra modem did no
- longer work), and the video cards had some minor problems.
- I even tested a 66MHz oscillator for a 33MHz clock, but then the
- machine won't boot.
- Of course, everybody does such things on his own risk. At least,
- my machine took no damage so far.
