- I have an SE30 with a Quantum 40 meg drive. It is about 2.5
- years old. Recently, the drive has been exhibiting stiction
- problems. A couple of times I had to cycle power before the
- drive would spin up and just a week ago I had to remove the
- drive and shake it about its rotational axis to get it to
- spin up.
-
- So, my question is, has anyone had a drive with stiction
- repaired and was it worth it, or is it more cost effective
- to simply buy a new drive?
-
- Thanks for your help.
