- The fact that it is a PBX should not matter....the voltages should be the
- same as a single line in your house....I think though that the "Message
- Light" that some hotels have could be a potential problem. I had a user
- that actually saw smoke coming from the RJ-11 and he immediately unplugged
- same and it did not do any damage.....He did notice that the Message Light
- was on......I am going to investigate and find out what exactly is
- happening
- when the message light is lit. I know for a fact that the light is
- triggered
- on the same wires as the dial-tone......Can anyone else shed some light on
- this??????Thanks....Pete Haase
