- I don't remember any crashes, but my trackball has horrible x axis movement
- to the left. To the right is ok and y axis is ok.
-
- I got the PB180 last week. About Tuesday of this week it wouldn't move left
- at all. I finally pulled the ball and looked at the mechanism. I fiddled
- with the friction roller and noticed that if it was pushed "north" a bit
- while rolling that the tracking became much smoother. I couldn't figure a
- way to keep the roller in that position, so I pulled the opto-sensor away
- from the rotating disk ("south") just a tiny bit (more like a lean) which
- has made it functional again.
-
- Of course, when I get back into the office, our supplier will catch hell
- and will have to replace this unit. After spending the money for a 180, I
- expect it to work flawlessly - without me having to fix it.
