- I need to buy a monitor fo my PC notebook, and would like to use it as a
- second monitor for my Mac. So, I was wondering:
-
- which monitors would work?
- can I just buy a generic one and buy a cable seperately?
- (if so - who will sell me the cable?)
- if not, who sells inexpensive monitors which come with both cables?
- (is there a cheaper one than a Sony 1304?)
- on a related note: some of these cheap multisync monitors will work up to
- 1024x768 on PCs. Is there a way to get an apple video card (I have an old 4x8
- card and an 8x24GC card) to drive one of these monitors in a resolution grater
- than 640x480?
-
- I have this dream of buying a $300 multisync SVGA monitor, a cable, and
- getting 1024x768 8 color video from my Mac. I'm sure this is just a dream, but
- if someone would tell me how close to this dream I can get, I'd be most
- greatful.
-
- Thanks,
- Mike
