  23.   They do a lot of really weird and bizzare stuff.  I would not recommend
  24. changing them if you don't have the manual for the printer.  If you do the
  25. darn thing may never work again.  
  26.   If you don't have a manual for the printer (you said you got it used)
  27. call Apple.  They list in their new "consumer catalog" that you can call
  28. them and order manuals for older (and new) machines.
