  24. The PDS connector does not contain any SCSI signals so it is not possible
  25. to map a cable directly to the PDS connector (let alone the physical
  26. aspects!)

  28. The MiniDock actually contains a SCSI controller that the SCSI DiskMode 
  29. software talks to when the software is running (thru the MiniDock decoder
  30. ASIC.)
  31. SCSI DiskMode software for the Duo transfers bytes between the internal
  32. SCSI 
  33. bus and the external SCSI buses using the functionality of the 53c80
  34. internal 
  35. and MiniDock SCSI controllers.  If a developer wanted to implement a 
  36. smaller (but SCSI DiskMode capable) version of the MiniDock they would
  37. have to
  38. provide some decoding hardware and a ROM that conformed to the Docking 
  39. development specs.
