  36. Don't know who is telling you there are hardware problems with the drive.  I
  37. received my IIvx with CDROM last week and have not found any problems yet.
  38. The drive works fine as far as I can tell and I have spent a lot of time
  39. useing it already.  Apple is having problem with the large demand for the vx
  40. and the Performa 600.  The demand is so high they just cannot produce them
  41. fast enough.  I ordered through the developer program on 11/20. Was told
  42. deivery was 10 weeks. Received the unit on 12/17.  The are trickling out now.
  43. Apple says they expect to be cauget up by late January or early February.

  45. The only problem I have heard of is something to do with the MIDI interface
  46. when receiving or sending large files.  Even that problem may not really be
  47. the vx and the jury is still out.  I have already excercised the MIDI ports
  48. with the limited software I have and see nothing wrong.
