- Something that helps me a lot that I haven't seen mentioned:

- Use the Pause key (paws?) liberally. On an extended keyboard, the
- ` (accent, just below esc key) will pause/resume. While paused, you
- can click on a new tool or scroll the screen around with no game time
- elapsing. Also, if you pause, then very quickly hit the pause key
- twice in a row, you can practially single-step the action.

- is everything.
