  12. I was playing one of my favorite Hellcat mission `Flying Fortres'
  13. from the original set just now.  I escorted the fortress
  14. successfully, downed all enemy fighers, sank the battleship and
  15. the cruiser, strafed AAAs, and came back before the fortress so
  16. that I can see it land.  Landing B-17 is one of the most exciting
  17. scene you can see in Hellcat.  Land on runway 9R, and taxi all
  18. the way back to the opposite end of the base, and hold short of
  19. 27R waiting for the landing traffic.  When I stop completely, I
  20. was credited for the kills but not for the mission; this is
  21. normal since the fortress hasn't been successfully returned to
  22. the base yet.  The fortress landed beautifully just in front of
  23. me.  Awesome.

  25. Then very interesting thing happened.  The fortress made a
  26. _right_ turn on the runway; it always turns to the left to park
  27. on the turf area between two runways. It taxied on the rough area
  28. around the strip until it hit a tree and exploded X-<.  What a
  29. miserable thing to see.

  31. I took off again and came back, expecting that I wouldn't be
  32. awarded since we _lost_ the fortress, or worse yet, I might be
  33. court-martialled because I was in the way and the fortress
  34. destroyed itself to avoid my Hellcat.  Well, I simply got the
  35. mission award.  It left a very awkward feeling...
  36.  
  37. By the way, is anybody here interested in buying my copy of
  38. Hellcat (with manual of course) with Gravis stick (rarely used)?
  39. Since I am going to part with my SE/30, I'd like to see my
  40. favorite game enjoyed by somebody.  Please make an offer.  I
  41. enjoyed it enough, so I would ask maybe around a half (or a
  42. third?  I really don't know what the reasonable pricing is for
  43. used software or hardware) of what mail order places are asking
  44. for the new ones.
