  16. hmmmm.  This seems to indicate that there are more than a couple ways
  17. to do asteroids.  Gee, how many different ways can you come up with to
  18. make an interesting asteroid?  Get real.  Hack into both with Resedit and
  19. you'll see there are no simularities at all in the shapes, other than the
  20. ship has a front, back, engine and cockpit and the asteroids are round
  21. and gray...  and there are lots more frames/icons of each sized asteroid
  22. in Maelstrom.

  24. What I'd like to hear is Ben Haller's comments on Maelstrom.  We've seen
  25. tons of comments defending himself, but he's likely still on the net and
  26. should be able to comment on the game himself.  He doesn't need a ton of
  27. whiners sticking up for him...

  29. Why is it that you tear into Andrew so much, guys?  Maelstrom is to 
  30. Solarian as Word is to WordPerfect.  Both have their merits.  Both look
  31. similar and do similar things.  Both have their uses.  Maelstrom is
  32. a good game and enjoyable.  It's not plagerism, it's not imitation
  33. (where were you when Tetris clones started coming out?) and it's a
  34. great update on an older game system.

  36. You don't complain because Chevys and Fords both use steering wheels,
  37. do you?
