- Since I upgraded Microphone II to 4.0.2, I've been having a strange
- problem with the Append * Selection command.
-
- Here's two lines of a script that has been working fine for me for
- about a year:
-
- Set Variable * MailFile from Expression "':GEnie Folder:Mail'"
- Selection * Append "MailFile"
-
- Since the upgrade, this breaks. The first time I use the script, it
- properly appends the selected text to the file "Mail" in the folder
- "GEnie Folder" that's at the same level as the MP II applicaton. But
- the second and subsequent times, it saves/appends the selected text to
- a file called "GEnie Folder" inside "GEnie Folder." It creates this
- file the second time I use the script and then appends to it in
- subsequent uses.
-
- It seems like it navigates to the file correctly the first time and
- then tries to execute the partial pathname starting from inside "GEnie
- Folder" the second time, and fails. MP has always had trouble
- resolving partial path names, but this is ridiculous.
-
- Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else? It's happening to me
- on two machines: an SE 4/20+52 (two external hard drives) and an SE/30
- 5/40, both running System 7.0.1 with Tuneup 1.1.1.
