  12. Since I upgraded Microphone II to 4.0.2, I've been having a strange
  13. problem with the Append * Selection command.

  15. Here's two lines of a script that has been working fine for me for
  16. about a year:

  18.   Set Variable * MailFile from Expression "':GEnie Folder:Mail'"
  19.   Selection * Append "MailFile"
  20.  
  21. Since the upgrade, this breaks. The first time I use the script, it
  22. properly appends the selected text to the file "Mail" in the folder
  23. "GEnie Folder" that's at the same level as the MP II applicaton.  But
  24. the second and subsequent times, it saves/appends the selected text to
  25. a file called "GEnie Folder" inside "GEnie Folder." It creates this
  26. file the second time I use the script and then appends to it in
  27. subsequent uses.

  29. It seems like it navigates to the file correctly the first time and
  30. then tries to execute the partial pathname starting from inside "GEnie
  31. Folder" the second time, and fails. MP has always had trouble
  32. resolving partial path names, but this is ridiculous.

  34. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else? It's happening to me
  35. on two machines: an SE 4/20+52 (two external hard drives) and an SE/30
  36. 5/40, both running System 7.0.1 with Tuneup 1.1.1.
