  16. I'm looking for NTP (Network Time Protocol) or TCP Time Clients for the
  17. Mac. The main difference between these protocols is accuracy:
  18.  
  19. NTP: plusminus 1 msec
  20. TCP: plusminus 1 sec
  21.  
  22. I once installed the VersaTerm Time Client V1.1.3 and hooked it up to our
  23. TCP time server (in fact, yesterday). The Time Client was able to
  24. establish a connection and to set the Mac's internal clock quite well. But
  25. then the seconds started to jump back and forth, which is not so good for
  26. programs depending on a clock (like networking applications). I saw this
  27. behaviour of the internal clock in the General Controls CP as well as in
  28. the VersaTerm Time Client CP. And two networking apps I tested failed:

  30. Fetch 2.1 and
  31. Mac340 with telnet session.

  34. Now I'm looking for other implementations of TCP or better NTP Time
  35. Clients for the Mac. Any Ideas?
