- We dial-in to our Internet via an ARA Server and route IP through
- our GatorBox. Works very well. I also dial in via my office MAC with
- ARA. As far as I know the Host Mac cannot help you with IP....
-
- Insure the Following:
-
- 1. Set up the GatorBox with nn Dynamic Addresses.
-
- 2. Select the GatorBox's Localtalk Zone in the Net Control Panel.
-
- 3. Set MacTCP to obtain address from Server.
-
- When you dial-in and run a App that uses IP protocol the dial-in MAC
- obtains an address from the GatorBox....You cannot use static addresses.
- As soon as you hangup that address is again available for another user
- that dials-in. We have 32 Dynamic addreses assigned to our GatorBox for
- Dial-in Users.....Hope this helps....
-
- We use static addresses together with ARA/MacTCP/GatorBox. Works ok
- for us. Why should static addresses work?
