- I have had success using a tar program on my Mac to read disks formatted
- on a SPARCStation 2 and written with tar (for files which are smaller
- than a single floppy) or bar (for files which must span multiple floppies).
-
- The formatting command I use is:
-
- fdformat -ev /dev/rfd0c
-
- and the usual forms of tar/bar. The tar program for the Mac I use was
- posted on Usenet within the last few months, and is probably available
- at the usual archive sites.
