  13.    I'm having trouble with ARA 1.0 either hanging during shutdown or
  14. causing my printer to be "misplaced". Here's the problem.

  16.    I have a standalone Mac IIsi (system 7.0.1, tuneup 1.1.1) with a 
  17. Personal LW LS on the printer port and a Everex 2400 baud modem on the
  18. modem port. "Remote only" is selected in the Network CP. ARA is set to
  19. use the modem port, but auto-answer is off in the ARA Setup CP.

  21.    When the Serial Port Arbitrator is installed, I get a "can't find 
  22. printer" error when I try to print. Without Serial Port Arbitrator,
  23. my machine hangs during shutdown (most of the time). Versaterm can
  24. find the modem port ok with or without Serial Port Arbitrator.

  26.    Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Is version 1.0 the most
  27. current version of ARA? Any help would be appreciated.

  33. LW LS driver 7.1
  34. inits : Quicktime 1.5, Norton's Filesaver 2.0, SAM Virus init 3.5, 
  35.         Superclock 3.9, Daystar's Power Central (I've removed each of these) 
  36. Daystar Combocache si installed (I haven't tried removing this)
  37. Appletalk is "on" in the chooser
