  11. I am helping a new Macintosh user sort out much of the new user stuff.
  12. She is progressing quite quickly for having only used the Mac for a 
  13. number of months. Due to a scar from a previous computer-user life (DOS), 
  14. she has preconceived desires to use WordPerfect. She has been 
  15. toying around with several word processors and she thinks she is ready 
  16. to purchase one (WP). After going to several bookstores we have discovered
  17. the number of available supplemental books for WordPerfect for Mac are
  18. few and far-between - e.g. a trip to a well-stocked bookstore (near a
  19. University full of Macintoshes) revealed a ratio of WordPerfect for
  20. Windows books to WP for Mac books of 65:1. (!!!) No shit; I couldn't 
  21. believe it either. So... is this a dead product? << WordPerfect employees
  22. are disqualified and may not answer>> The inside back cover of MacWorld
  23. shows WP for Mac to consistently place in the top 15 business packages.

  25. Not that it matters... but this recent Mac convert is my Mom.
